Ficción I

Retentivas aims to analyze the emotional and narrative distance that is allowed only by the passage of time.

Using family photographs and small objects found in flea markets, a series of unusual objects are constructed that dictate an obligatory distance between the viewer and the image. Traveling this distance in some cases exhausts the light, and in others the gaze, allowing one to barely intuit the scene that is arranged inside.

Using an old edition from the 70's, reproductions of famous paintings are used to create new visual narratives. In this series of landscapes, the scene presented hides and reveals itself through layers of tulle and backlighting.
